An 80 sqm metre, 10 metre full-beam sky lounge on the EkoKat 62W, with the same or more usable space than that found on a 120-130ft (30-40 metre) monohull superyacht, or 80-90ft+ power catamaran. The most favoured place to be both day and night. Packed with innovation and luxurious comfort with wellness and practicality at the forefront.

The EkoKat already highly acclaimed flybridge is simply an astonishing size for a 62ft yacht. The 62W and 62S are effectively the same just slightly different sizes. Flybridge aft layouts are either sunbeds, sunpads or sunpads with jacuzzi. The Galley is great for bar-style and dining seats up to 6 people.

Both the 62W and 62S offer forward raised ‘out-of-wind’ sunpads and panoramic views, and 4 Besenzoni helm seats equipped with armrest XENTA powered control systems (not need for a steering wheel even out at sea in the cruise) and 24″ Raymarine MFD’s. A centre forward helm station (with redundancy steering wheel) is generally used for anchoring.

Main Deck

Cleverly using every sqm of this full beam yacht, the main deck of the Luxury Penthouse Apartment almost defies belief. From the spacious interior lounge to the versatile cockpit and Mezzanine sun pad to the forward Lounge on the Bow. Every area has been crafted for effortless living at sea. Dual-functioning Salon

By day, the inner lounge (salon) of the Penthouse provides huge open plan living with raised panoramic views almost 360°. With mamouth opening width glass sliding doors to the cockpit and double glass doors to the bow, the lounge blends from inside to out almost seamlessly.

Access to the four superyacht sized bathrooms, cleverly located in the hulls, is reached by discreet stairways. By night, the inner sanctum transforms into a series of Presidential Suites, with a choice of EkoKat configurations, or again go completely bespoke with Dasha Moranova, redefining space and versatility.

Lounge on Bow

An expansive outside terrace that can be configured as a private terrace in the Owner’s Full Beam Master layout with door locked at top of staircase to flybridge. Perfect for relaxation or entertaining all day long.

Fully equipped with galley – sink, electric hob, fridge and ice maker. Tappas style direct ocean view dining portside, and 3mx2m raised sun pad starboard side with kite shade (extensive storage underneath).

A cockpit area to rival a superyacht. Incredibly spacious with formal dining for up to 16 (62S). Raised portside sun pad under flybridge with e-water sports garage concealing 2 efoils and sea scooters as standard (or compressor and dive tanks). Starboard side unit with Fridge, sink and electric hob.

Mezzanine sun pad raised to 3metres above water line for monumental views rear over the ocean with short (removable) steps to flybridge up, and cockpit down. Provides privacy in the cockpit when parked stern-to and from inclement weather.

Beach Club

EkoKat offer two options. A traditional style superyacht-style modular inflatable platform beach club, seamlessly extending from the cockpit out into the sea. Spacious, versatile, and designed for a full day of fun at the waters edge.

The optional and extraordinary fully retracting/lowering mezzanine sun pad option to waterline level, and 2 fold down side panels offers a more up to date approach to a beach club.

For the traditional modular system and fixed mezzanine sun pad, two inflatable platforms are included as standard with steps to the sea. They inflate in 3 minutes and attach to the port and starboard yacht platforms. Stored inside the mezzanine sun pad.

Hulls

As a result of having no bathrooms in the hulls, this has given EkoKat large amounts of space to use for more renewable energy storage, superyacht sized bathrooms, large crews rooms and storage.

Superyacht Bathrooms

The Penthouse by day and Presidential Suite by night have private access to 4 superyacht sized bathrooms cleverly located in the hulls, reached by discreet stairways. Walk in rain showers 1.5mx1m in size, instead of tiny ‘squeeze in’ cubicles. Toilets have bidets and there is a dressing area with vanity sink and storage.

Crew

A Happy Crew is a Happy Boat as they say. Firstly, EkoKat is very much an owner operator boat for those qualified and experienced to operate themselves. In this instance, because we fit out the 2 extra large crew rooms to guest standard, they can be used by guests as an extra 2 single bedrooms or as ‘kids dens’ if required.

Accessed directly, instantly and safely from the top of the 2 hulls at each side of the Lounge on The Bow, they have quality single beds with swing out Smart TV and Tablet (for monitoring ships systems, Vanity basin and mirrored cupboard, and walk in rain shower and WC.

Natural Energy

A Giant (out of view) solar array with 600w high power solar panels and a unique retract system is possible because we have space in the hulls (no bedrooms) for over 150kwh of battery storage. This enables EkoKat to run all systems at night including air conditioning and not have to run noisy 220-240v AC generators during the day.

EkoKat uses 2x ‘Whisper’ DC 48v 12 kwh super quiet generators that top up the batteries (if and only when needed briefly) and do not run the ships systems directly from them. Quiet battery power all day only. This also results in Ekokat having a 1/10th carbon footprint over other similar size motor yachts.
