Next Gen Ekokat redefines yachting with a radical and pivotal shift in yacht layout, safety, and practicality
- with highly disruptive usd 3 million pricing
Click Play to see the EkoKat 62 with it's unprecedented and almost inconceivable 35 metre Superyacht key usable spaces on board front and rear.
The yachting world is abuzz in 2025 in this ever growing industry with new yacht brands to look out for and their new and innovative designs.
The latest Talk-of-the-Seas in the sub-superyacht motor yacht sector
(under 120ft) puts at least three BIG and dominating subjects under scrutiny
Safety, Usable Space, Price
EkoKat didn’t just join this latest conversation - it started it quietly to itself three years ago, and just look at the result.
Why and how can a 19m (60ft) yacht have the key usable spaces on board as a 35m Superyacht?
... and cost 1/5th to buy and less than 1/10th in annual running costs?
Firstly EkoKat is a Next Gen power catamaran.
This means whilst not as long (19m instead of 35m) it is almost double the width of a 30-35 metre monohull, and take the matter of providing maximum usable space on board to an altogether different level
Secondly, No more dangerous and pointless side decks
Power Catamarans do not need side decks for getting between the front and the rear of the boat. Ekokat uses a 'front door' to access the front foredeck terrace
meaning our salon and flybridge above use the full width of the yacht
Not only are side decks inherently dangerous especially when underway at sea, they take up huge and valuable space inside the salon lounge and flybridge above. Simply walk out of the front door onto EkoKats palatial 'Lounge of the Bow' which also offers complete privacy without side decks for
owner or guest staying in the giant 60sqm full beam master suite with outside terrace.
Thirdly, no sleeping down in the hulls. ALL bedrooms main deck
MORE SPACE: well as a fundamental safety measure, because we put ALL bedrooms on the main deck and not down in the hulls, EkoKat hulls do not need to steal valuable floor space from the salon lounge above usually needed for headroom by hull based bedrooms.
SAFETY: Sleeping down in the hulls of a boat can be dangerous in the event of the need to escape to the main deck as proven with the tragic disaster and sinking of the Bayesian superyacht where most that perished were trapped down in their hull bedrooms.
PREVENTS SEA SICKNESS: By not sleeping down in the hulls this also helps prevent sea sickness brought on by limited views of the horizon. EkoKat provides panoramic views of the ocean and horizon and significantly larger bedrooms by sleeping up at main deck level.
BONUSES: By not fitting 0ut the hulls with bedrooms this allows EkoKat to utilise them for many other things including Superyacht sized bathrooms - huge walk in rain showers and WC/Bidets; more room for extra solar battery storage enabling EkoKat to be run day and night on renewable energy without the need for noisy, polluting 220-240 AC generators (EkoKat uses 'Whisper 48v silent gennies simply for topping up batteries when needed, not running ship systems); oversized crew cabins fitted out to guest standard and usable as single rooms or kids dens in the event of owner operation.

A 35 metre monohull costing usd $16-20million and the EkoKat 62w (19 metre) costing just $3 million
Ask yourself these questions: If you were sat atop the EkoKat flybridge would you even be aware
of the length of the yacht or even really care? especially when you are able to anchor in idyllic shallow water and even nudged up to the beach. Secondly is this extra area are the front of the boat actually worth at extra usd 15 million?

IMAGINE: If it were not for the huge foredeck at the front of the 35 metre yacht, EkoKat and its key usable spaces on board, would actually be a bigger yacht.

Ekokats 'Lounge on the Bow' is fully equipped with complete
galley and direct flybridge access.

Nothing worse than cramped bathroom accommodation, and EkoKat has 4 of these
So how does EkoKat accommodate bedroom suites and a lounge in the same salon space?
This is just one of EkoKat’s fundamental game-changing and industry transformational design shifts.
The World's 1st dual-functioning Salon (lounge)
Luxury Penthouse Apartment by Day, transforms to Presidential Suites by night
Through an ingenious and innovative layout and voice activated electric wall system, the brand uses the main deck as a huge salon in the day-time, that it calls a luxury penthouse apartment with guaranteed sea view! and uses the exact same space at night as a luxury presidential Suite with up to 4 private and oversized soundproofed bedrooms.
The space is miraculously transformed in minutes and even during the daytime individual private rooms can be created for those wanting rest in the day or some quiet privacy. Choose the owners full beam master option for 60sqm of palatial luxury, optional kids bedroom, 2 bathrooms and private access to a huge outside terrace 'The Lounge on the Bow''

Yacht Prices
(and annual running costs)
Yachts are just too expensive for the mainstream these days. Do 50-100ft yachts really need to cost this much. Well unfortunately legacy brands still choosing to build in western Europe are forever feeling the pinch and many are appearing to go bust every few years. Sunseeker and Fairline being two victims in the last year alone.
How does EkoKat manage to charge half the price of competing size 60ft power catamarans (and have double the usable space on board), and as little as 1/4 the price of yachts with the same usable space and still maintain the highest build quality, branded quality parts and equipment?
Well for one, EkoKat saves well over $1 million alone as a downstream benefit to its attention to safety matters such as no hull bedroom fits outs, no side decks, and no unnecessary and even dangerous features such as over-engineered hydraulic bathing platforms for lowering tenders, that block views rear for guests and will sooner or later fail.
Secondly, gone are the days of ‘Built in China’ meaning poor quality. Providing the factory facility is aware of international standards, has the right workforce, quality control and shipping is in place, and the overseeing brand itself is from the West, with labour charges and factory leasing costs being 1/3rd – ¼ that of the west, the luxury EkoKat Voyage 62 can literally be built for 1/3rd the overall cost than if it were built in western Europe, and this includes the use of premium brand important equipment, much of which comes from Italy. “The Ekokat 62W ($2.98m) will cost you HALF that of the competitor length Sunreef 60, and literally has DOUBLE the usable space in its salon and on its flybridge, not to mention the myriad of additional benefits and features of the yacht” says EkoKat’s CEO, an owner-operator of 50-60ft monohulls for 30 years, with practical experience at sea spanning 3 continents.
In seeking out the next yacht for himself and wife personally 3 years ago, side decks, bedrooms in the hulls and the prices simple made no sense so he set about taking a proven hull design shell (7 commissioned and proven so far), and with a solid team of naval architects, engineers (including a Mercedes F1 engineer), marine specialists, superyacht crew and handlers, and of course the factory itself, simply designed his own instead.
Deciding to call it EkoKat, it then received such overwhelming global acclaim, as a 3 decade entrepreneur decided an exclusive pedigree brand was in great need so deciding to make it available to other discerning yacht lovers (both owner operators and this that simply wish to enjoy them with crew), but on a strictly limited and exclusive basis. EkoKat was born.
FRACTIONAL Ownership option: Also available through our fractional ownership programme. Effectively split the cost to buy and run the yacht between up to 6 people, from usd 450,000
“Our flybridge at a whopping 80sqm even tops the Sunreef 80 with its 64sqm flybridge and its 4x price tag in excess of Usd11m. It outdoes all monohulls pretty much with an example being the new Sunseeker 100 yacht which will cost you a tidy USD15m, and EkoKat even sits alongside the 130ft Sunseeker Predator yacht when it comes to flybridge and salon space and an owner’s full beam master cabin the same size (all guests sleep down in the hulls even on this yacht). It absurd but true”

Yacht Charter Market Disrupters
This Usable space 'v' yacht price basis also translates directly to the ever growing yacht charter market. As an example a brand new Sunreef 60 (half the space on board) charters in the Caribbean/Bahamas for around usd 55-60,000 per week and the Sunreef 80 (still less space on board) is up at usd 95-100,000 per week. 100-120ft Monohulls with less or similar size usable space will cost in addition of usd 100,000 per week.
EkoKat on the other hand plans weekly charge rates down at usd 45,000 per week, and is all set to radically transform the charter market globally.

ROI?
Downstream benefits and reasons to consider an EkoKat just keep on flowing like champagne!
These radically lower yacht purchase and charter prices reflect directly onto the yacht owner looking for an ROI from their yacht purchase.
Having EkoKat Yacht Management manage your yacht and charter it when you are not using it, can see your annual running costs completely covered with as few as just three weeks charter per year, and if you choose to finance your yacht purchase on a 70% LTV basis, you are likely to cover your annual finance repayment as well, making your yacht available for charter for less than 8 weeks per year.
This can make a huge difference and give those with far less available cash to spend on a yacht suddenly in a position to buy an EkoKat when maybe they thought they could not!
