THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT!

This page is best viewed on a desktop/laptop

The conceivers and designers of EkoKat have decades and thousands of hours actual operating experience with 50-60' motor yachts in all corners of the globe, all climates and all types of cruising waters. There is nothing that can compare with such actual experience when it comes to designing a yacht as there are so many situations to be aware of for the owner/skipper and their guests on board. Even the smallest of things make a huge difference to ensure our time at sea goes as smoothly as possible.

The Best Anchor in the World

UltraAnchor System

Let's start with the most important thing on your yacht. Anyone suggesting otherwise has not been subject to a near disaster and either significant damage or complete loss of their boat, with a slipping hook from poor hold or changing weather and sea state conditions. It could happen one day, and it can be a very expensive (and dangerous) game-over situation! Why take the risk, and wouldn't you rather sleep well at night in the knowledge that the chances of you slipping are virtually non-existent? EkoKat think so and are the only Power Catamaran brand in the world that supplies all our Kats with an ULTRA system as standard~ commonly known as the world's best anchor with by far the greatest holding power. It's a no-brainer in our books.

Superyacht Dumb Waiter

Superyacht Dumb Waiter

Let's face it, you have a luxury yacht like this and you have to carry all the food and drink up a ladder to the flybridge?

You don't need to on a superyacht, so why should you on an EkoKat? No one is paying for the electricity other than the sun, so why not have a little assistance from DumbKat ~ the only powercat in its class, or even close to it to have one!

Over-doing things, safety and modular Beach Club

Over the years there has certainly been many fine invention and innovation that has propelled the motor yacht industry forward at a great rate of knots making life a lot easier for the boat owner.

There have also been some things that quite honestly we at EkoKat have felt a tadge unnecessary, a waste of money, quite often object-defeating, and even dangerous. Everyone to their own of course but here are two of them along with our solutions that we honestly feel are quicker, easier, less dangerous, and not unnecessarily expensive. They are also a result of direct experience.

Bowline Easy Retrieval System

For those familiar and very used to the Mediterranean 'Med-Mooring' or 'Stern-to' method of docking a boat, maybe you have already asked yourself the question, how to retrieve and attach a bowline, with no side decks on an EkoKat to walk along whilst grappling with the lazy line? It is a good question and we have a very good answer!
