EkoKat Charter Management Companies

EkoKat seek luxury yacht charter & yacht management Companies for our co-ownership and privately owned yachts located globally. 

Management of co-ownership yachts (Management Agreement)

EkoKat co-ownership yachts comprise 6 individual owners, for example: Home | Ekokat Lustica in Montenegro. These yachts are to be managed and made available for charter by Yacht Agent Montengero  Home (yachtagent.net)

To note the yachts are new from factory and come with EkoKat warranty and manufacturer warranty on all components
of the yacht, i.e. engines, all electronics, solar system ... everything. There is also a factory GRPO warranty.

Each co-owner pays a monthly Management Fee to the management company.

This Fee will always represent the required funds to cover the following: 

* Berthing.

* Insurance.

* Annual scheduled Maintenance.

* Cleaning (yacht to be maintained in a 'ready-to-go' condition in the marina selected. 
* Any other fixed fees and costs

* 10% administrational fee for the Management company

Charter of co-ownership yachts

In line with the Management Agreement undertaken by the Company, the Company is awarded exclusive 10 weeks per annum use of the yacht for charter purposes at their discretion.

 

A 60ft Power Catamaran can generally achieve charter rates of between USD2500 - USD10,000 per day depending on location.

 

It is very important to note EkoKat requires a vastly different classification to that of a standard 60ft PC, considering its various unique attributes. These include the oversized Flybridge and Salon resulting from the full beam configuration and the dual mode salon concept, derived from having no bedrooms in the hulls - and hence no usage of salon space for extra bedroom headroom as with conventional hull bedrooms (The Ekokat Flybridge achieves a space of 51sqm, exceeding the Sunreef 70, and all <100ft monohull yachts, including the new Sunseeker 90 Yacht, and a Salon of 61sqm matching the Sunreef 80)

There is a great deal of very important and worthy of mention benefits to such large-sized spaces, in particular, the ability to create an illusion and feel for guests they are aboard a 100ft+ superyacht when sat atop the flybridge on anchor, and especially in an anchorage not possible to visit on such a 100ft+ superyacht. With a 1.1m draft and just 58ft LOA, this vessel can comfortably be operated for charter by 1 crew (skipper), although there are 2 oversized (and luxurious) crew cabins (one of which therefore doubles as an additional single cabin for charter guests ~ also known as guest single cabin/day changing cabin and Kids Den cabin)

Solar Array

Also to note the simply huge 24 x 600w solar

panel array, 100kwh battery system and 15kw invertor provide more renewable energy than any vessel close its class.

Salon

61sqm (salon) Luxury Penthouse apartment space equal to that of the Sunreef 80.

 

Available with 3 separate 55' TV sofa areas for daytime mode, absolutely perfect for day charter use ~ with the vessel able to comfortably carry 30-40 persons (subject licensing) ~ which transforms to 3 separate double guest bedrooms ~ the master being 7.9m full beam, forward facing and with panoramic windows.

Furthermore please pay particular attention to features of the EkoKat such as the world-first Mobile Helm Station MHS™ and SMHS™ with its Xenta control and Raymarine systems and forthcoming autonomous parking.

Revenue Split/Net Yield for charter/management company

With 10 weeks 70 days charter potential, yielding likely income of between USD $200,000 - $600,000 depending on location, the following deductions are 1st applied, with the residue falling entirely to the charter company:

 

Management Fee: The 6 co-owners see their Management Fee returned at the end of each year (this is part of the initial sales package to the co-owners. (They also receive a refund of their 1/6th buy-in price after 3 years when the yacht is sold - replaced/updated - also noting the charter/management company may also have 1st option to sell the yacht after 3 years with a 10% commission. With a USD3.2m current full retail price tag, after 3 years the yacht should comfortably return USD2 million - noting that 2024 will see price increases of up to 25% on new vessels. Ekokat Voyage 58 is vastly underpriced when compared to other vessels and once established will warrant a noticeably higher value. Simply consult the specification sheet and renders for comparison purposes). 

Where the management Fee is usd499 per co-owner per month this equates to USD $35,000 total revenue split.

Where the management Fee is usd599 per co-owner per month this equates to USD $43,000 total revenue split. etc etc

Ekokat/Owner revenue split: Negotiable from zero to 25% dependent on charter rate levels for the location

Owner usage & Skipper provision

Each owner receives 5 weeks (35 days) use per annum. Where crew is required the management company skipper provides services. Whilst owners pay no fee for such crew, they are advised tipping is mandatory and suggested at USD $50-100 per day. This in itself it is suggested will handle the majority of the permanent skipper's annual salary.

Global marketing support and vertical integration

EkoKat provides the yachts with the co-owners (or private owners) and through vertical integration also a very large % of the actual charter business for the yachts (as well as create custom made charter packages and programmes with hotels combined and other tourism suppliers)

One of EkoKat's co-founders is global tourism development and marketing company Staff Travel Voyage (STV). Nominated to the United Nations for its contribution towards sustainable and innovative global tourism development, STV has effective non-direct reach to 10's millions of consumers globally in every single country on the planet via its database of airline employees. Through its official and exclusive appointment with Lufthansa Industry Solutions recently, it now has an audience potential of up to 10 million airline employees, each in a position to 'spread the word' to thousands of mainstream consumers. This means STV is able to provide a reduced-rate product to its airline employee database and enable onward identity awareness for its suppliers. 

 

A dedicated EkoKat Charter website is under construction which showcases the EkoKat dynamic charter packages available in the 4 key locations of co-ownership yachts. This website will be distributed using the STV global marketing platform, and likely generate a very % of the charter weeks available in each location. The charterer/management company appointed exclusively in each location will 'piggy back' off such global distribution and awareness and receive giant awareness and PR for itself by default and as a side product. All charters from the EkoKat charter website will be routed via the charterer/management company.
